Pact

Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 October 2026

Pact helps people quit porn by blocking adult content on their iPhone and telling a trusted accountability partner if their pact is broken. We collect as little as possible to make that work. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never see.

What Pact never collects

What stays on your iPhone

Your reason for making a pact, your streak history, and Pact's settings are stored only on your iPhone.

What Pact's server stores

To email your partner and notice if protection is turned off, Pact's server stores:

We use this information only to run Pact. We don't sell it, share it for advertising, or use it for anything else.

Emails to your partner

Your partner receives an invite when you add them. After they accept, Pact emails them only if your pact breaks, if Pact can't reach your iPhone for 24 hours, or if you choose a different partner. The emails never mention porn.

If you're someone's partner: we have your name and email because they gave them to us. If you don't accept the invite, you won't get any other emails. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Services we use

These companies process data on our behalf and only to provide their service to Pact.

How long we keep data

We keep your data while you use Pact. If you'd like it deleted, email hello@pactseal.app and we'll delete everything we hold about you and your partner within 30 days. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes everything stored on the phone.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you. Email hello@pactseal.app. If you're in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Age

Pact is for adults aged 18 and over.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app.
